Genesis Mining Payout & Technical Issues

I recently reported that all my genesis mining earnings had disappeared; I had contacted Genesis Mining on the issue, and I heard back from them saying:

"We have experienced some technical difficulties. As a result user balances were not shown correctly and the functionality of the website was reduced. Our IT Team has resolved this issue, and everything should be in order now.

Payouts for July 21 will be visible within the next 24 hours, we apologize for this delay."

After 24hrs had elapsed, and I didn't receive any payouts or see any more earnings (beyond July 21st) I contacted Genesis Mining again, and they had this to say:

"We have been experiencing some technical difficulties in the past few days. As a result user balances were not shown correctly and the functionality of the website has been reduced, including the login option.

This is representing a bigger challenge than expected, but our IT Team is currently working on solving the issues. This situation has also forced us to hold payouts since the last 20th of July, but they will be released to your wallets as soon as the situation is stabilised. We expect to have everything solved (payouts included) during this week."

They also have issues with updating wallets etc. and on that issue they had this to say:

"Due to some technical updates on the website, wallet setups and changes are temporarily not available. The system will be fully operational again soon! Thank you for your understanding and support!"

I wanted to share this to let people who were following my earlier post know about the progress and also to inform others who're encountering similar issues.

Sort:

I'm hoping this is just a glitch and all will be sorted out within a few days.
What Genesis have not been very good at is telling us what's happening.
The customers just want to know
1 What happened
2 when will this be fixed
3 why did this happen

And also, how they're going to calculate mining losses that are being incurred to customers in the whole process. I mean, if their mining rigs aren't functional, how are they going to know who earned what?

I would assume that it's just a case of adding up the hashpower and dividing against that day's difficulty

hope they've fixed it by now.

nope, still not

buggar..
