now would be a time to just hold, not buy
Well reading this given the fact we are having very low prices is very discouraging, I hope things can get better soon enough in the crypto industry.
I thought 2018 could be even better than 2017 regarding crypto prices but that seems like wishful thinking because we are already in June and every month has been worse than the previous one.
But either way, I think crypto in the coming years will be much bigger than what it is right now, and it will reflect in prices and worldwide recognition. So what I am doing is the same as always, hodl.

Well by "right now" I mean today and maybe for a few days until we see the effects of today's NYT's front page story. We can't anticipate fully how the man on the street investor will react. We need new people to enter the market for it to climb, and this scares them off. But if we see that we're still just wobbling sideways like we have been for a few months now, then no reason not to buy these dips.
And as you say, for the long run anything we buy now will have been a bargain. So if you planned to hodl and you've already been dollar cost averaging in, no reason to stop now! I'm speaking more to people who've been intending to enter the market but haven't really yet. Now would not be the time to start given the very high uncertainty and weak stomachs among newbies for such intense losses that may occur right out of the gates.
