The popular platform for the transmission of live audiovisual content via stream, Twitch, announced that its users will now be able to receive native tips and payments with cryptocurrencies.
This new property was integrated by the Streamlabs team, a company that has originally been creating software to improve the dynamics and services of the streaming platform, which will now allow the creators of audiovisual content to accept payments on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.
Platform users can now link their Streamlabs accounts to Coinbase accounts and accept balances in cryptocurrencies without having to pay additional charges.
Twitch is currently ranked as the website that ranks number 33 among the most visited worldwide, and during the first quarter of this year Streamlabs processed more than USD $ 34 million in tips for users within the platform belonging to Amazon.
Originally, the platform already allowed its users to accept tips with Bitcoin balances through several mechanisms. The first one was thanks to the integration with the tip service ChangeTip, which allowed the inclusion of a button with the logo of the company with which it could be remunerated through the chat. The other modality was given through Coinbase, since it provided the necessary mechanisms so that users could accept the respective payments with BTC balances.
And as I continue to say, companies and the whole world are realizing how important it is to adapt to the new technology and ecosystem of the blockcahin, it is because of them that we see new institutions and nations set to the firm march of what they have what to do with this technology.
