It seems that almost everyday that I check my curated news feed trying to get a read on what the market has in store, I come across yet another blockchain trial or experiment in some or other obscure industry.
And, as we ride the wave of this transformative networking protocol, it is both amazing and hilarious the level of ingenious and downright ridiculous things people are trying to do on the blockchain.
Below is a list of some of the more recent use cases I have come across, but please, if you have heard of anything either laughable or transformative pop it in the comments below, as I will be building out a larger article on this topic in the weeks and months to come.
In recent news:
Japan trailing a new blockchain based property registry
This tech is in fact rather transformative and may have some rather promising results not only for property but also high-value assets.
Oh yes, a match made in heaven, pailing only to that of silk road, what could go better together than anonymous transactions, and the gambling market.
China trailing blockchain technology to assist with their food supply primarily looking towards the export of chicken.
It seems that the Navy will apply the technology to its processes for additive manufacturing to securely share data throughout the manufacturing process.
But, Let us not forget
These guys, who got married using a smart contract
or,
Cryptopunks: A blockchain-based digital collectable item created by Larva Labs
Although no longer a completely new trend, blockchain is still in its infancy, and from currencies to record keeping or even and yes I have heard of this before, hair extensions on the blockchain, the number of applications is so large it’s likely that we haven’t even discovered the best use for this exciting new tech yet.
For now though, it seems that the future is bright and coloured with some interesting and ridiculous projects along the way.
haha the Oprah meme is hilarious.
I think the blockchain can be pretty disruptive if used creatively though!
Im actually building the blockchain into a project of my own :)
I completely agree and think that in a couple of years time we will be ashamed at how small our dreams were with regard to how the technology could be utilised.
I actually read one of your posts about your experiential marketing campaign for SteemIt a little while ago, and would be interested to hear about your idea. :-)
oh thanks man ! I actually wrote a bit of an update about 20 mins ago. More so of a backstory:

Would love to know your thoughts.
And Ill be posting sneak peaks of our prototype soon!
