Today I decided to convert all my cryptos to Steem Power. I got 433 SP for my ETH, EOS, ICX, and it feels very good. I have 738 SP now, and my next goal is 1000.
I'm still just a small fish here on Steemit, but it's nice to see that my upvotes are worth more. Another great thing by investing in Steem Power is that I become "immune" to panic selling.
What's in it for you?
I want to give more upvotes to people who upvote AND comment on my posts. It's nice to get followers, but it's a much bigger chance for you to get upvotes from me if you leave a comment on my posts, rather than just following.
Now I need to rest, but give me some comments and I will reward you when I have recharged. Steem on :)
This is very exciting news, @dieterschneider! 433 extra SP will really make a different in the long run, and will be very nice when you want to reward your commentators and build a community. I have high hopes for Steem, so I feel like it is a much better investment than ETH, EOS, or ICX, so I don't think this is something you'll ever regret :)
I hope so. it says "beta" under the Steemit logo, so I guess we're still early adopters. Hopefully Steem is still "cheap" :)
Yeah, I would still consider all of us early adopters. I might have to stop saying that once we reach a million users (which is very soon), because at that point we have gotten some traction, and are ready to take over the world :) A bit of an overstatement, but I think the ball is about to get rolling for Steem(it).
For a lot of people, what you're doing will be a huge help. A single upvote can do a whole lot of good!
That said, I'm also in agreement with you about the whole user engagement thing. It's nice to get followers, but that conversation, that back and forth? That's where you really find yourself growing your network. Those followers you engage are more likely to share your posts with their followers, who will join the conversation and help you grow.

True. It's hard to interact with people if they don't leave a comment. I actually earn more on comments now than on posts :)
It's true! A lot of times, comments can be just as fruitful for a minor as their posts.
Comments tend to be much more valuable than posts until you get a nice amount of followers, @ddrfr33k ;) Some good comments can get you a few dollars, which is pretty difficult to get for a minnow that makes a post. And a post requires a lot more effort than a comment as well.

Congratulations on making the decision to shift your crypto investments into Steem! Steem is definitely showing immense promise and I am considering making a similar move myself.
As you say, the PowerUp lock-in also helps take some emotion out and provides a longer-term investment mindset that can only be good.

Would not say unlimited.... yet, hehe. But it feels good. I regret not buying when it was under 1$, but let's hope it goes even higher than it is now :)
