Cryptocurrency is a pretty solid market that established itself as an alternative to the current financial system. Right now we can buy airplane tickets with Bitcoin, book rooms at hotels and even pay for some goods on Amazon.
That proves that people are moving closer to the day when they can use cryptocurrency on a day to day basis. However most of those examples are online solutions which is good but not ideal.
Pay with crypto in a restaurant?
True believers who know the real potential of such system want to have an ability to simply go to a store, or a restaurant, or a coffee shop, order some food and pay in digital currency.
The only way to do this right now it to use such systems, as Bitpay, Coinbase, Blockpay or similar and make a settlement option available. The problem with that is a limited number of fiat currencies that are supported there. Yes, they have dollars and euros but there are so much more different local fiat currencies in this world.
By having that issue in mind, a team of experts in programming, cryptocurrency, Blockchain technologies, trading, journalism and law decided to create a custom solution for retail sector in Ukraine which turns out to be a very blockchain-friendly country.
According to proposal on DashCentral, the first places to accept Bitcoin and Dash will be Givi Rubenshteyn and Pasteteca which are both big restaurant networks of Italian and Georgian cuisine in Kiev.
The reason for using a custom solution is that each country has its own standards for legal and taxation issues and only the experts in this area of a particular country can find the best way to make the business legitimate. Meaning with the current legal status and volatility, at the end of the day people need hard cash, there’s no other way around it.
Another feature that will be unique in this integration is that all of the confirmations of transactions will be instant, even those that won’t be used by Dash’s awesome InstantSend. That will be provided by the fork.sale’s exchange and an API that is currently in the process of development.
In this case, the owners can be 100% sure that their business operates within the bounds of the law of Ukraine, each transaction is confirmed instantly and even by accepting cryptocurrency they have the “real money” in their bank account.
A tip of the iceberg
What important to notice is the partnership with Profit Solutions. This is a well-established company with 12 years of experience in creation, implementation and maintenance of software and hardware solutions for HoReCa (food service) industry. What is even more dazzling is that it covers about 80% of all of the available terminals that deal with payment systems for retail in Ukraine.
That means that the restaurant industry is only a tip of the iceberg of how big this integration can be, and the benefits for Dash network in particular, since there will be a lot of Dash-exclusive features.
According to Dmitriy Baimuratov (aka @dmitriybtc), this particular integration can create real transaction on the Dash network, not just trading and speculation. People will finally have a chance to pay for food and other offline services with digital currency.
The overall budget for this project is 255 Dash (or $25,000) and is should be delivered in about 3 months with gradual progress reports.
Why Dash?
As most of the people know each cryptocurrency solves a very specific niche on the market but only a couple of them will actually go to the masses and will be used to buy simple things on a day to day basis.
As "slava_m" explains:
“We are sure that over time DASH is going to be the only "digital cash" of new era, because it's the most capable one for this purpose. We believe in DASH. Or even better "In DASH we trust".
