Moving to Bittrex was the right choice for me, because it has a lot of altcoins including the yummi SBD and STEEM. I did a small SBD withdrawal from Bittrex earlier, it went through quickly and without a hitch. Bittrex, here I come.

i did the same. tried different coins, and finally got via out of poloniex and into bittrex today
Did what you did, tried bitcoin, dogecoin, ripple, steem was disabled, everything was stuck and not going anywhere. Was very frustrating 😠
I know, I know, I'm still stuck with Poloniex. Sure, I could withdraw all my funds, but I decided to stay with them till they resolve my issues (a missing deposit and a missing withdrawal, both BTC of course) from about four weeks ago. Though the word on the street is that they are getting around to addressing their tickets, so I might not have to wait much longer.
I hope you get your problems sorted out soon. When you do, you know what to do.

I have a newb question. I have just opened both a blocktrades and a bittrex account. I have a bitpay wallet. Is there a step by step tutorial on what to do with them? I got as far as requesting the receiving address and noped out.
Let's say you have bitcoins on Bitpay. If you want to send some bitcoin to Bittrex, go to the wallet (https://bittrex.com/Balance) and click on the + sign, it will generate a deposit address. Go back to BitPay, initiate a withdrawal and use the Bittrex deposit address you just created. Simple. The sample principle applies to any exchange. Most importantly, transfer a very small amout for testing, so you don't mess up and lose your coins in limbo or something!
Thats my fear right now, is that I do something boneheaded and lose out. Thanks for the help!

This is concerning news. I've used Poloniex only up until now. Now I'm starting to get worried.
Everybody was complaining for the last two weeks! I'm not alone. Besides, Poloniex has been notorious for conveniently "going down" when there's a massive bitcoin trading. They say it's DDOS attacks... really? Whatever you say Polo, whatever.
Good call. I've started moving things through Bittrex more myself. I am glad to know that I am not alone!!!
