I've just found which can be one of the best discoveries I've made :)
It's a chrome extension with two main functionalities
- protects you from being phished alerting you when you enter into a domain included in the updated blacklist
- adds links to strings that lookalike an Ethereum address
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/etheraddresslookup/pdknmigbbbhmllnmgdfalmedcmcefdfn
I hope you find it useful.
Be make it easy for hackers
every extension can be dangerous, especially crypto related ones
I totally agree with you @ragetester, but in this case it's only a warning when you're in blacklisted sites. In my case I didn't activate the Ethereum addresses functionality.
But actually everything is dangerous, as any extension, program or add-in, related or not to crypto, may be phishing your info
BTW, I've no relation with this extension and I'm not responsible if anything happends. I just wanted to share something I thought it could be helpful :-s
Yeah we need more people like you, share the good
Wow that's great
Thank you @tomlogan, very graphic :)
Guys, simply use a hardware wallet like the Digital Bitbox and all your problems are solved.
Not really, a hard wallet will solve your wallet problems, but when there are no hard exchanges... You can get phished in many different ways and situations
Yes, that is certainly true, phishing is always a risk. Still, having a safe cold-storage place that's easily accessible and from where I can transfer my funds quickly let's me sleep a lot better ;)
I'm just going to buy mine
