CRYPTO ICO NEWS: Bitquence Token Crowdsale Hits First Major Milestone Today...

Although initial coin offerings (ICOs) have more noise attached to them nowadays than the middle of Time Square on new years eve -- there's one that I think may be worth paying attention to for people outside of the United States and Singapore.

Bitquence (BQX)

The Bitquence team describes the platform as:

A people-powered universal cryptocurrency service that makes it easy and safe for users to interact with a new economy. Bitquence is a secure universal mobile wallet that is designed to hold a wide variety of cryptocurrencies.

The interesting thing about Bitquence is that the developers, led by the Founder, Shingo Lavine; Dennis "SQL-god" Chen; and M.I.T Computer Science Ph.D holder - Maurice Herlihy to name a few ... decided to let the market or users determine the valuation of BQX via their ongoing crowd token sale.

And today, Bitquence reached it's first and biggest milestone -- a Minimum ETH Contribution of 5,000 ETH. The current ETH contribution as I write this article is 5,339.01 ETH contributed by early believers or backers of the Bitquence platform. Equaling to 26,743,062.07158462 BQX tokens being issued to the same early backers.

This means that the Bitquence project is off to trying to hit it's next milestone -- soft cap of 40,000 ETH Contributed, with only three days and 20 hours (as I write this) left.

According to the coin's official token sale website, here are some of the key benefits that BQX is promising it's users:

  1. BQX is the backbone of the digital liquidity network and will be an asset exchangeable for a variety of fiat and cryptocurrencies
  2. BQX can be used as “gas” for transactions and storage
  3. BQX held in an account will make the entire account eligible for reduced cost transactions and storage
  4. BQX can be staked on the platform against consensus risk profiles earning rewards
  5. All BQX token holders will be given exclusive curated token sale access

Here's a detailed KCN News video interview with Shingo Lavine being asked some pertinent questions about Bitquence. His answers guided my writing here and provide a deeper dive into the origination, development and future of the platform. Along with his views on the cryptocurrency space.
