During the latest Bitcoin frenzy I read an essay noting that if you'd acquired $5 in Bitcoin 7 years ago, you'd have an asset today worth over $4.4M. If you'd gone wild one night and ponied up $100 ... well, you do the math.
Maybe it's worth nothing. Maybe the minute it takes out of your life to sign up is time you'll never get back. But ... nothing ventured, nothing gained. It for sure will fail if no one supports it. This is true of everything in life. (Maybe more people need to realize that.)
In places where the government has instituted experiments in UBI, the people thrive. The community thrives. Life improves drastically. It's an idea whose time is coming. It will be interesting to see where this leads -- both the notion and adoption of UBI ... and this project.
