Explain EOS to Your Grandma

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

EOS Go is proud to present the first in a series of infographics, specially designed to help newcomers learn more about blockchain.

Anyone is welcome to share this work as far and wide as they wish under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

Our next infographic in the series will go one step deeper into EOS, explaining the mutual benefits for everyone working together on a blockchain-based website, and how such a model will allow individuals to own their information while competing with legacy companies.

Go EOS!

Who are we?

EOS Go is dedicated to uniting the EOS community towards launching EOS and beyond.

Software company block.one is creating EOS.IO and releasing it as open source code; thousands of individuals will need to come together to bring this new "internet of value" to life.

How to Get Involved:

Telegram - Forums - Community Announcements - Twitter - YouTube

Nice stuff.

I would recommend making a new version of it with a bit less text. A lot of the power of infographics comes from the fact that they are a quick read that gets the main points across. The images should convey the info missing from the sentences.

Thanks very helpful

This is what's needed! We need more basic infographic material to make it easier to explain to non tech people. Thanks for the post and I look forward to seeing more from you!

Really looking forward to the main net launch. I will share this infographic series to people I know who are interesting in getting into crypto.

Thanks @elitewizard407 - we are obviously pro EOS but tried to explain blockchain in a way that could make sense for everyone, as this truly is a world-changing technology.

These look great! Run EOS, run!

Thank you @voluntary-io - responding to your comment from the EOSRad.io post, we promise to help everyone learn more about opportunities in this new international economy. Go EOS!

I have no doubts you will keep all of us posted!

Thanks for the info. I will curate this post to KR community translating into Korean!

This infographic explains the things quite clearly, we are just now waiting for the main launch.

This is so cool! I’m going to be sharing it with all of my friends!

This set of infographic images are so great 😁.
Even I have been having difficulty understanding eos and and I've been following your posts for like a month now.

This is so so explanatory.
👍

Very good initiative! congratulations!
A tip: Less text in infographics 😊

Alll for eos .... Eos is the best rest is crap

Makes me glad I bought EOS when it was inexpensive! 😁

Very soon we will have Twitter and Facebook copycats (among others) run on EOS. No more censorship in these two media. Huge. The whole digital world can potentially migrate to EOS, Google, Airbnb, snapchat, etc..

thanks

Looks like some good easy to understand info. nice stuff, except for the fake globe earth image.

Thank U! It is easy ^^

@eosgo

WOW! This is great for helping to spread the EOS message to people who do no know about it . Keep them coming.

Love it, really easy and enjoyable to read and really inspiring!

I liked this so much, I read it twice. "It's the dawn of a new era" for sure! Go EOS!

Great post.

I don't think I'm understanding this clearly. What's revolutionary about this? I get that it's a great privacy function but wouldn't less views of an ad mean less revenue?

I understand that it's encrypting our info on the blockchain so we are more in control, but won't less views of ads= less revenue for the hosts?
Or are they saying to use your information, they'd have to pay you instead?
Not getting my head around this completely.
Can someone summarize what EOS is in a few sentences?
