Did you know there is a deadly epidemic that, ironically, COMES FROM the very same place you normally go, in search of healing?
Nope, not the opioid crisis.
I wrote about that disaster here.
This post discusses a different medical catastrophe, that hemp also averts!
MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) infections, which are typically hospital-acquired, and more widely referenced as health-care associated infection (HCAI).
Well, that doesn’t inspire confidence in these bacteria farms which, according to the CDC, infect 5-10% of hospitalized patients in the U.S.
These infections are contagiously spread around in healing facilities so often, that the occurrence earned its own word: “nosocomial.” It means “acquired or occurring in a hospital.”
MRSA is the most common hospital-acquired bacterial infection. It is both immune and resistant to anti-biotics.
The Deadly Problem With Antibiotic Mindsets ☠️
Anti = against.
Bio = life.
You don't have to be a biophiliac to recognize that this common form of "treatment" would be likely to come with unwanted side-effects. How could it not, something that has set itself against life?
Superbugs, like MRSA, ironically emerged from the OVERUSE of antibiotics, that were designed to treat them. MRSA resists most antibiotics because it mutates to preserve its own life.
This study proved that "the long survival of these bacteria, including MRSA and VRE, on commonly used hospital fabrics, such as scrub suits, lab coats, and hospital privacy drapes, underscores the need for meticulous contact control procedures and careful disinfection to limit the spread of these bacteria."
Research shows hemp fabrics actually kill bacteria, including MRSA.
In a test conducted on a hemp-blend fabric (60% hemp/40% rayon), fabric was infected with staph, and researchers found the hemp material killed the staph bacteria at an incredible rate.
“The material was found 98.5% bacteria-free upon the first measurement.”
Staph/MRSA spreads through contact, and by touching infected items, like hospital gowns, towels, privacy curtains, scrubs, etc.
A study published in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology tested both methicillin-sensitive and methicillin-resistant staphylococci on common hospital materials (clothing, towels, scrub suits, lab coats, privacy drapes and splash aprons), and found the bacteria survived on every material for at least 1 day, and in some instances as long as 90 days.
Replacing any number of these items with hemp-based materials could severely reduce transmission of these deadly bacteria.
PREVENTATIVE TEXTILES + TOPICAL TREATMENT
Has the world become so jaded, deluded or catatonic, that the cleaner and saner a solution is, the more we resist it?
With the evidence that:
Topically-applied hemp abates MRSA; and
Hemp-based textiles and fabrics kills MRSA...
… HOW can a federal policy be so inane, as to enforce a national prohibition, that keeps its citizens living shorter, sicker, more pain-filled lives??
Fed up + disgusted? Good! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
A Few Words About HempCoin
Cannabis and hemp betters our lives, our health, our ecosystem and our industries.
Aside from water and sunshine, I am unaware of any other SINGLE SUBSTANCE
that renders as positive an impact on humanity and ecology, as this plant does.
That's why I focus and love on it, like I do.
And it's also why I have a heart for things related to it, like HempCoin.
I followed that passion, and made contact
with HempCoin's founder, Tim Renzetti.
He recently said HempCoin developers are actively addressing
many of the pain-points we feel with BTC.
I don't know exactly what those solutions will be, but
they are expected to roll out before the end of this year!
So watch for it...
The altcoin space is CROWDED.
And some BTC purists might think altcoins UNNECESSARY.
Or even... UNJUSTIFIABLE!
And yet, they remain.
Of the 1,289 cryptocurrencies,
HempCoin was among the first 30 created in 2014.
You may have never heard of it.
My observation is that it is rooted more in integrity, than marketing.
It was NOT premined, and is fairly distributed.
Heck, the founder isn’t even its greatest HODLer!
The hemp industry is quickly approaching a billion dollars in annual sales.
HempCoin (THC) is a member of The Hemp Association,
and has considerable advantages over other pot and weed coins, such as:
It is accepted in all medical marijuana dispensaries, and it is not LIMITED to use there.
It is recognized and respected by the huge and essential agricultural industry.
I like to joke: Has anyone ever eaten a Bitcoin?
Technology will not surpass our human need for real food.
Agriculture/Farming makes up about USD 1.5 Trillion annually, worldwide.
- It still has nascent pricing, at under $.02/unit.
HempCoin is my principled investment choice, and I encourage other
holistic-minded and earth-caring folks to CHECK IT OUT HERE.
Oh! Speaking of holistic-minded and earth-caring folk...
* DO ANY OF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO WOODY HARRELSON? *
HempCoin wants him as its ambassador!!
They are a perfect match... Woody + HempCoin.
Can you help me get that message to him? Pleeeeeeease.
And while I'm begging... ((giggle))
👉 Help me make this baby-blue dream come true?? 👈
Phew. That was a lot.
But it feels I'm writing to friends, so...

This was a great post indeed! it is exciting to see all the ways the blockchain is being used to enhance agriculture and hemp as a whole. A major hurdle was banking, and this eliminates that hurdle. I've been working for some time to develop a 3d printable, structurally viable hempcrete mixture and method. I will be posting about it in a day or so! MIT and SXSW have supported the project, and I hope to be putting it to use in the reconstruction of Puerto Rico soon. Let me know if ye wish to learn more, I am happy to chat. In my head, hempcoin could be a great way to fund such a project. Whaddyall think?
Cheers,
Chad K.
(if you google 3d printing hempcrete, you'll find my work easily).
With my mom in a nursing home, we are always concerned that MRSA is a possibility. It would be so amazing if this knowledge became mainstream! I know that linen also has similar properties. Resteeming this. Thanks again for another informative article.
.
Hempcoin must find a way to increase their marketing whilst maintaining that integrity. It can become an example of how both can be balanced and still create success.
Umm very interesting Hemp is truly a wonder product. Just wish is wasn't so illegal the world would be a better place! Might buy a few Hemp coin then
Gratitude!!! Most Thankful for the information shared... I'll add also that "The Stone the builder refuses becomes the Head Corner Stone!!!"
