I decided to create a quick research on TOP 10 cryptocurrencies and their websites. Why I think this is important and what insight can we get out of it? We'll be able to tell if bloggers are talking about specific cryptocurrencies and how their ranks are raising in search engines, considering all this information we will be able to make some guesses based on valid information, since if people are talking about it, most likely their value is going to grow, of course it's all just speculation at this point, but let's see what can we get out of it:
1. Bitcoin
Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and as we can see from the charts in the past year their (SEO) referring pages has grown more than twice and it doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon, more valuable of course would be domains, which would indicate approximately how many bloggers and writers and mentioned bitcoin in their articles.
2. Ethereum
If we compare Ethereum growth with Bitcoin growth be can see based on percentage that Ethereum received higher growth, it's still far from Bitcoin SEO wise, but if it's going to keep up at this rate...than it's just matter of time when Ethereum beats Bitcoin.
3. Ripple
Ripple one of my favorite coins currently - by no surprise is growing and is growing quickly and is not far from Eteherum. If we look at SEO it has ~4200 domains referring to their site and it keeps growing.
4. NEM
If we look at the charts we can tell that NEM is a new alt coin, and it only started to receive some SEO action around end of September, it's growing, but it's growing slow, comparing to the other alt coins, so let's keep an eye one them and see what happens in the future.
5. Ethereum Classic
Comparing ETH is quite new in the market and as we can see from the chart their growth is...unstable, I've heard rumors that it was only made as a backup plan, does that mean it doesn't have a future? That's not for me to decide, but bloggers don't talk about it as much as they use to so....
6. Litcoin
Domains>Referring pages, it might seem that they received some drop, but it reality there's no reason to be scares, maybe they had some banner, that brought them 100 000 backlinks and it got removed the most important part would be Domains in this case and it's growing.
7. Dash
We can see from the charts that Dash received a nice drop in March, but was available to recover, like nothing have happened.
8. BitShares
Looks like unstable growth in SEO.
9. Monero
10. Stratis
From the list, Stratis has the lowest URL rating from them all. Higher URL ratings tend to rank highers in google search engines.
Comments:
Can we make anything out of this? Sure we can draw some parallels. Can we make some educated guesses if the stock is going to go up or down? Probably no. Honestly speaking I don't think anyone can tell you if stock is going to go up, down or sideways, it's all just speculation.
So what can we get out of this brief SEO overview? Just the basic understanding where their pages stand and how fast are they growing, my guess would be they are not going to go away anytime soon and will keep growing, when majority of people are going to grab on to this topic the links are going to skyrocket.

Very detailed. I always research altcoins from a tech standpoint looking at who is behind them and what benefit they bring to the table. I never thought of researching them just like you would for SEO purposes. Is a great indicator about how well they are doing. Thanks a lot for sharing
Thanks
