I do not know whether there will be a short-term drop in the price of Bitcoin or a re-newed upward spike.
Having a futures contract that is not tied to the underlying asset (future contract for BTC will be settled in cash, not Bitcoin), I tend to think it is just a way to allow Wall Street traders to place bets.
However, if this opens the doors for big money to get into the crypto-currencies, then hold on to your coins because 2018 may be quite a year for digital currencies.
As for me, I will be watching and trying to take advantage of any market fluctuations (especially pull-backs). I am still in accumulation phase.
Full disclosure: I just traded some STEEM for Litecoin. I keep hearing good things to come for Litecoin in 2018. While, I intend to pick up some more BTC and ETH, I will be concentrating on LTC.
Of course, this is all just my opinion and not to be taken or construed as financial advice.
Have a fantastic day!
Steem on,
Mike
Thx for the input Mike! :)
