Thank you for this very thought provoking piece. You make very valid points about the trade off between decentralisation and for example efficiency and ease of use. However I think the most compelling counter argument is that the current financial system is IMHO broken, fails "Joe Public" and in fact makes him progressively poorer. I think this single fact explains why more and more people will seek an alternative and place at least a portion of their wealth in crypto thereby leading to greater uptake. It may be an osmotic effect but I think that it is a trend that will gain traction & network effect.
