Good day for all my followers and greetings to the new people who joined us today.
Today I want to share you some news about the biggest social media that's created controversy not for its enhancements but for its reactions against cryptoworld.
The starring today is: Facebook!!
The source of all the specific data and quotes come from an app I have in my Smartphone named Crypto Markets which, besides showing cryptocurrencies behavior - in the same way as Coinmarketcap - has a news section. The rest of it are my personal opinions about this topic.
Zuckerberg's social media platform, Facebook, is working in order to stop advertising campaigns from ICOs, cryptocurrencies (including Bitcoin) and binary options (this time, forex is not escaping from this measure), this as reaction to the multiple scam cases registered in the last months.
It's not a secret that Facebook, by having too much people using its platform, is a perfect tool for ICOs and investment companies to attact people's attention willing to obtain huge profits with no effort or no risk. Unfortunately, there will always be malicious people taking advantage of low or even null knowledge about cryptocurrencies and the risks involved in it.
Rob Leathern, on behalf of FB staff, said in a blog that they are working on a new policy in an effort for banning ads that "promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices".
Let me show you an example of which kind of ads will be banned from now on. This is an ad I found in my personal FB feed:
I see this kind of ads everyday, promoting ICOs, cryptocurrency investment platforms, websites and much more, but have you ever wondered why this happens?
Easy peasy: because FB analyzes our behaviors when navigating in the feed. They know what we read, watch and listen to, that's how FB redirects ads efforts in order to show us what we'd like to read, watch and listen to.
They probably know more about me than myself!!
According to FB staff, they're "trying to protect us from scam and losing our money" but they haven't created the regulations yet (just a broad-brush approach), so it's a warning about what will happen from now on.
Did you know that FB, in second quarter 2017, had more than 2.7 billion users, included you and me?
What they want to achieve is a "more secure environment for users" by eliminating advertising related to ICOs, cryptocurrencies and binary options that - in their words - are not "on the up-and-up".
Now, FB is not the only platform to be intervened with this new policy. Audience Network and Instagram will also be targeting advertising campaigns and companies promoting the events mentioned above.
This is another statement from FB's staff:
"This policy is intentionally broad while we work to better detect deceptive and misleading advertising practices, and enforcement will begin to ramp up across our platforms including FB, Audience Network and Instagram. We will revisit this policy and how we enforce it as our signals improve."
In a nutshell:
Say goodbye to Facebook and Instagram as means for getting people willing to invest in crypto and forex!!
It's a pity that, because of other's bad intentions, the startups and legal binary options companies have to leave FB as this is a perfect place to obtain users and investors.
Needless to say that if you're thinking about investing in any ICO or forex or binary option - whatever you choose - please ONLY INVEST MONEY YOU'RE WILLING TO LOSE, money that you don't really need on an urgent basis and please, for God's sake: DON'T SELL YOUR HOUSE OR CAR OR ANYTHING JUST FOR THE EXCITEMENT OF HIGH INVESTMENT RETURN.
That's all for this post, I hope you like this info and take in count what's been said in here.
Feel free to share this post and don't forget to follow me for more interesting topics!! See you in my next post.
They will realise that the made a big mistake soon.
Totally true @jeannerossini because FB and Instagram are big sources of leads who are always looking for any way to earn money fast.
