Most crypto-enthusiasts are aware of the powers that be. With blockchain serving as such disruptive concept, it seems overly obvious that those with power will act through the lense of self-preservation. Livelihoods depend on the control and power after all and in the end, bleeding edge adopters are seeking to rise up themselves. The competition ensues and its hard not to favor the power incumbents.
It seems almost dizzying to follow the space right now and our seemingly information breakthrough in social media platforms seem to be rife with misinformation. Bitcoin provides a prime case study. With the hard and soft forks to date, the so called Hong Kong Agreement and then the New York Agreement, backstories on major players, connections to centralized banks, governments, and so on, what can we believe? Some say Bitcoin has already been hijacked. Some say it was going to be segwit2x which completed the hijack but in the end, does it matter?
We, the people who care about humanity, need to keep moving. We need to find a way through the dark. A bolt cutter for the chains. It's reasonable for us to grow as a species and to continue to build but we are currently stuck in a loop of inequity which results in inhumanity and suffering. Maybe this is part of nature and the natural order of life. It sure seems out of balance though. Maybe everyone should be issued a coin when they are born. One coin for one human.
