WHAT IS FLURBO?
A really great aspect of open source is that when there are fundamental differences in philosophy and vision, whether it is the technical, business, political or moral vision of a software venture, it can be forked and allowed to evolve in a manner that represents all community members.Flurbo is a project to fork and improve the Filecoin software in addition to running the Flurbo blockchain network, as a fair and decentralized blockchain storage system that is truly owned by the network participants.
WHY FORK FILECOIN?
Filecoin has the potential to be one of the most disruptive projects that have come out of the blockchain community and all of us who have contributed to growing the Decentralized Web community have had a hand in making it possible. It can be a game changer in moving cryptocurrencies beyond the realm of speculation to that of real commercial utility. However, we have some fundamental and irreconcilable differences with the Filecoin team, their token sale and its distribution.

TOKEN SALE TERMS
Unlike Filecoin, the total supply of Flurbo tokens will be defined by how many are sold during the token sale.
- The 10% Founders Tokens is for founders, advisers, contractors, strategic partners and early backers.
- The token sale will be enforced by an Ethereum Smart Contract which will generate ERC20 proxy Flurbo tokens. These will be issued to all participants immediately at end of token sale.
- Each Flurbo token will be sold for 0.0001 ETH; All token sale participants will pay the same price, no exceptions.
- Pending a full audit of the refund contract, the Flurbo team will move all Ethereum tokens received in the token sale to the refund contract which will allow for any holders of the proxy token to redeem each Flurbo token for the original price paid of 0.0001 ETH. This refund contract will expire approximately six months after the token sale ends and the contributed Ethereum tokens shall be released to the Flurbo development team.
- When the Flurbo Blockchain launches, proxy token holders will be able to redeem their proxy tokens for the actual Flurbo tokens.
- No ERC20 proxy tokens will be created for the project founders and advisers, and they will not receive any Flurbo tokens until the live Flurbo Mainnet launches.
- No ERC20 proxy tokens will be created for the treasury, and the treasury will not have any tokens until the live Flurbo Mainnet launches.
