...Rupee - a decentralized currency from india for india...
Rupee - a currency that exists for 1700 years and is widely spread, from india to pakistan and up into the himalaya - became digital. Since two months, the rupee coin is available and can be traded now on different exchanges. Cool - I guess. If we look at coinmarketcap.com, it is the number one for the 7d rise.
There is a huge population of People living outside their country, working in different parts of The World. Every time They sent money “home”. They pay huge fees and the transaction takes too much time.
After checking out their website, I can't find much information though. They talk a bit about the history, about their roadmap, which isn't really explaining that much. Going social, gaining awareness, etc..
They do not really talk about how they want to overcome the technical and legal issues in order to reach their goal. Their goal, to help poor people get the money from relatives living abroad without paying huge fees for the transaction, is very neat. And once enabled, through the blockchain, this could help people all over the world - not just in india - to actually receive the amount that's been sent to them.
The team exists out of 4 people, but I couldn't find out much about them. Adam, the Co Founder has a linked In account with some 103 followers. He studied N/A, Computer and Information Sciences at the Anjuman Boys High School in Musheerabad.
Overall, the idea is ok, but I definitely miss more information about the background of the team, about the partnerships (which might be very important in order to make this project successful), and a whitepaper.
- How are they solving the exchange problem for people in india who don't have a computer?
- How are regular indian people have access to their coins?
- How do they want to use them?
- Do they create their own blockchain?
- With whom do they partner?
- ...
To be honest, for me it looks like an idea without a good, solid concept and a really small team that I don't know much about. So I just enjoy watching their gain and wont invest at all. It seems too scetchy.
Cheers
