RE: Anyone ever panhandle so you can buy crypto ?

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

I've spent thousands of hours, wrote hundreds of posts and haven't made a dime. I guess it is the definition of insanity. I keep trying the same thing "steem" and expect a different result. I use to spend hours writing some posts, not to get a single upvote. I have stopped doing that as much and now just come here to vent. Steem isn't about the content anymore. Steem has morphed into toxic environment where it is all about the you scratch my back ill scratch yours methodology. Its sad because it had sooo much potential and now @dan is too busy with EOS, to give a shit about steem.

Thanks for reading :)

Yeah, I see what you mean. Do you think the culture can change for the better?

Remuneration based on quality of work and readership, rather than whales upvoting each others nonsensical posts. Making the content from steem viewable on other popular blogs. More advanced search engine optimization, so that posts make their through more organic google searches. Limitations to the amount of steem one user can have. There are so many shortfalls .

Yeah these are great suggestions. I'm kinda banking on these changes to take effect sometime in the near future. I feel like we have to see some big shifts if we're going to attract a more mainstream audience.

Once the mainstream media and others start treating crypto as more of an investment, instead of gambling joke, I think than more people from outside the crypto space will get on board. Sadly right now the only people making money on steem are the people who have large hoards of it and use it to bribe others to upvote their posts,
