Very few ICOs projects have kept their word. Many have simply failed to deliver even the most basic product; have fallen behind of schedule or have not fulfilled their investors’ desires. We would all like to see our investments double, triple or even quadruple in value, but there is an important question to ask ourselves: why have I participated in this ICO? Was it for the money? For the solidity of the project? For the Team? Or for the idea behind it?
I often think of all the latter before I decide whether I want to participate in an ICO or not. In the case of Cashaa I need to admit that the project, the team but most importantly the idea behind the project determined my decision. 7 months after the ICO it is time to draw conclusions, and see if what was back then promised has been respected.
The first thing I feel like saying is that I am extremely satisfied with the quality and quantity of work so far carried out by the team. Let’s analyze some of the points indicated in the original Whitepaper (WP) and what has so far been achieved, because this is the benchmark on which evaluating an ICO, in my humble opinion.
- Distribution of CAS Tokens to participants including PoS rewards = Cas token have been delivered to participants in time and the promises regarding the PoS fulfilled. It was stated in the WP that all unsold tokens would have been burned or distributed to the Community. Indeed, this latter option has revealed to be the best and made the Community stronger, adding an incentive to holding CAS tokens in wallets.
- Cashaa Exchange = Beta testing of the Platform successfully completed on July the 31st, currently waiting to get regulatory authorisation. The Platform looked smooth, professional and effective, thank also to the hard work of developers, testers and the Community. Cannot wait to try the final working product and we could see good volumes on there too.
- Teamwork and accountability = So far the team has worked super hard, has participated to conferences around the world (just FIY Kumar Gaurav the CEO has travelled to Canada, Bahrain, Latvia, The US, Estonia and many other countries to speak at conferences) and a lot more events are lined up.
- CAS tokens = Were originally sold at $0.10 during the ICO and are now trading around $0.04. The difference in price is mainly due to the bearish market in which all cryptocurrency is currently floating since the beginning of 2018. Indeed, not a bright time for ICO tokens to enter the market but in this case, I am bullish on CAS for a few reasons. Firstly, I believe in the project: everything looks promising and, so far, the team has respected most deadlines and is working hard to deliver the final product. Its accountability before the Community has been remarkable and I do not see any reason why they should not manage to thrive up to the implementation of the final product. Secondly, the possibility to buy tokens directly on several exchanges – check https://cashaa.com/exchanges.php - is facilitating the access and circulation of CAS. Thirdly, the PoS reward scheme is a good incentive to buy more CAS and hold them in your wallet: if people cannot yet use them, at least they have an incentive to hodl. Lastly, a product can only survive when its community is strong and tight-knit. Thinking the opposite is simply naïve: every single crypto in the market has the value that their community creates for them. The more people love a project, the more tokens are traded, the more the price goes up, simple as it is: keep your Community happy!
- The future: Cashaa is there to stay. I see a bright future ahead; it is just a matter of time and patience. While we wait for the final product to be implemented, let’s keep a solid faith in the project, let’s hodl CAS tokens even if the price goes down. Remember this is a marathon, not a race. The prize is there, at the distance. And it is not the money. It is knowing we have participated in a project which can change the lives of billions of people who have not been lucky like us and do not have access to many things we give for granted.
I participated in Cashaa for one reason only: I want to change this world.
Yes, I am a dreamer.
Yes, we can really change it, let’s make it happen.
