The sudden short-lived rise and quick fall of Bitcoin is recently rippling through the mainstream news all over the globe. About week before this article, some prominent voices from the financial sectors are already dubbing Bitcoin as "another Tulip Mania," "another Dot Com bubble," but my favorite perhaps is when they called it a "Ponzi Scheme."
Personally, I am a believer of free speech and I believe these guys are entitled to their opinion. And by that same virtue, I also believe that these guys are the bigger hacks than the rest of us. The Fiat Monetary System is the longest running Ponzi Scheme in the modern world and we continously patronize it.
Interest, inflation, late fees, overlimit fees, transaction fees, taxes etc the list goes on. These have been the diabolical devices that the Institutions made, out of nothing, to establish lordship over us. We submitted to these concepts simply because Fiat is tangible. Tangibility alone placed value in a piece of paper with an intricately fancy design.
Do you think that these guys would easily turn their backs on a system that placed them on a pedestal? Would they abandon the control they currently have over the lives of the populace? Hopefully, sooner than later.
Finally, in my opinion, at this moment of writing - Bitcoin, love it or hate it, is the standard bearer of decentralized cryptocurrency. An attack only on Bitcoin but on the entire cryptocommunity. To do so is not only to discredit the currency in itself, but also the right to freedom and privacy it was built upon. I see the past few days as just minor setbacks.
The road to innovation is a road less traveled. We will get burned. We will suffer losses. But, together, we will change the world.
Buy Bitcoin.
Peace! 🙌
