Word to the Wise
Over the weekend I started seeing advertisements pop up for what appeared to be a new cloud based Ethereum mining company called Ethmine.
Always on the lookout for a new scam, I decided to check them out. Right away, I was able to tell this was a scam because they guarantee an extremely high fixed rate of return on your investment.
If you know anything about how mining works, then you know that it is impossible to guarantee anything, much less such a high daily interest rate. Like most scams, they also offer you the chance to be their paid shill by recruiting others to join up and be fleeced.
Of course if you want the extra 5% representative bonus, you got to earn it by paying at least $1000. Trying to use your own greed against you? How unfair!
My guess is that you will never see any referral bonus, representative bonus or your original $1000 investment. There are many other clues they are a scam, such as they never discuss what mining equipment they have or where it is located. If you want to get into cloud based mining, there are a lot of good companies out there you can hook up with. Ethmine is not one of them. Avoid it at all costs! You'll be glad you did.
Money For Nothing
Today's free money is a token airdrop for a company called Cryptyk.

The Report
After a rather dismal weekend, both weather and cryptocurrency wise, things are bright and shiny this Monday afternoon!
Bitcoin is currently trading at $10,272, up 8% since this time yesterday and about $120 higher than at our Friday afternoon report. Go Bitcoin go!
Steem is currently trading at $3.55, up just over 4% in the last 24 hours, but still down a nickel from Friday's report. SBD is trading at $3.98 currently, a little more than 4% since yesterday, but still down $0.26 since we went to press on Friday afternoon. Currently on the Steemit Market, Steem is trading at 0.925 SBD down some from the weekend were we saw Steem trading as high as 0.98 SBD.
The supply of liquid Steem continues to drop after peaking last week. The amount of liquid Steem has fallen by over 500,000 since Thursday. This activity, if it continues, should help the price of Steem move higher. It may take some time though, there is still a lot of excess liquid Steem out there.
Please note: I am not an investment professional. The information I present here is only my opinion. Cryptyk is the latest company to try to get into the distributed cloud storage market, and while other companies may have a head start, the total market has the potential to be huge. Better grab those free tokens while you can.

Yeah, if they put in half the effort to make an honest dollar as they do to scam people, they could be rich.

Cryptyk sounds a lot like Storj and Sia. They are doing pretty good, I think I'll take a chance the cryptyk can do well also and sign up for the airdrop.
The interesting thing about Cryptyk is they seem to be targeting enterprises instead of small businesses and individual users.
Cryptyk looks like an interesting company. I've signed up for the airdrop and if they are renting out hard drive space like Storj, I've got some to give them since Storj isn't using all I have.
