RE: It's 2018 and the CryptoWars Have Begun

What is missing to this recipe is a good dash of inflation in fiat currency to give a little impetus to escape the forced devaluation. When this happens it will be rocket fuel to the fire. Expect that to quickly be followed by assigning the label of "economic terrorism" to those who use blockchain -- which will only accelerate the flow of society around and past the outmoded, hopelessly corrupted, industrial era concept of central government. It will get worse before it gets better. But the shape of the end game is starting to come into focus.

All the more reason why Steem and Steemit, with their combination approach of decentralized currency linked to community building, will be a door to the future.

Enjoyed the post!

I think you are right, and I think it's only a matter of time before one of the major central banks runs into a bout of hyperinflation it can't recover from. The U.S. is close. The E.U. is closer.

What we really need, in the meantime, is peer-to-peer exchanges for both crypto-crypto and crypto-fiat that are housed on smartphone apps. Please, Crypto Claus, that's all I want for Cryptomas in 2018!
