Working with supply chains in the past I can honestly say this is one area that desperately needs revamping. From 2nd , 3rd and 4th party processing there is much waste - both time and money.
This company looks intriguing but maybe a bit obscure:
1st - as of today
TRAC: $0.154645 USD (-4.35%)
0.00001796 BTC (-1.32%)
Market cap of: $39,358,329 USD
Supply level (mid level supply token) 500,000,000 TRAC

Now looking to their impressive whitepaper website and use cases thus far makes me want a 2nd peek at this project.
From the Whitepaper:
OriginTrail is a unique solution allowing IT providers in supply chains to set up blockchain
supported data sharing in multi-organizational environment. It helps them build transparency
beyond the “one step down, one step up” traceability principle. Furthermore, it improves the
integrity of product data and drives efficiencies for stakeholders. The first version of the
OriginTrail solution is proven and currently deployed in the food industry. The upcoming
open source version will be suitable to any product supply chain such as automotive,
consumer goods, pharmaceutical etc...

Impressive and well developed website:
