Thankfully (at least for gamers) ,things have started to calm down, with the profitability of mining dropping by more than half.
And into all this we have AMD launching the RX Vega cards. Initial testing using the Frontier Edition showed pretty weak mining performance, but rumors are swirling that graphics card manufacturers have tested cards and reached over double the performance of the RX 580 on Ethereum mining.
Here's the current GPU prices, looking at the least expensive option I could find. I also included eBay prices, to see if there are better deals to be had in the used market. And I have good news, as it looks like demand is dropping, with eBay prices reacting accordingly:
that's good news for gamers but not for GPU based miners , now more stock available but demand is reduce is almost more than 80% according to my analysis i m daily looking and checking my local market , two months before when ETH price was all time high GPU cards demand increased i also bought RX480 8GB card at 470$ each in local market ,that time i dnt did any research about ETH mining i hear ETH will move from PoW to PoS in Nov and ETH price also down thats why no more guys currently interested to buy or invest on GPU cards.
i plan on buying one but not for mining.... thanks for sharing it
For gaming???:)
