Everything evolves.
We are shifting in society to a model of interaction that is increasingly integral, increasingly interconnected.
We're moving in developmental stages...
Non-centric:
This is where someone has no sense of individual identity. Think of how a dog can't recognize itself when it sees itself in the mirror.
Ego-centric:
This is where someone has a sense of individual identity and but is only concerned with him or herself.
Ethno-centric:
This is where someone is very identified with their group, their tribe, their nation, but anyone else outside of that group/tribe/nation is regarded roughly as the enemy.
World-centric:
This is where someone takes on a truly global sense of identity that transcends race, culture, and creed.
So that's the direction we are moving.
With the rise of the internet, we began to see how the world became "flat."
Okay, not literally flat. But what made the internet so phenomenal is that it gave anyone living anywhere access to the same information that everyone else had. So now, someone living in Uganda could have access to the same information as someone living in San Fransisco.
Eventually, all borders will erode as the world becomes increasingly more integral and interconnected.
Blockchain is the latest manifestation of our shift towards a more integral and interconnected world. With blockchain, all data is stored publicly on a universal ledger, which anyone anywhere can see. The data is no longer confined and concealed by central authorities who have all the control.
Blockchain is the internet of money. Blockchain allows money to be more freely distributed. It's another way of leveling the playing field.
By understanding the ideas I have written here, you are ahead of most people in today's world.
That gives you an advantage because you can get onboard with the trend before the majority.
With the internet things shifted very suddenly, and practically overnight everyone was using the internet.
Pretty soon, blockchain technology will do the same.
