Why is the price of bitcoin and ether not rising now?

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Because it’s the end. Done. FIN. The bubble has burst.

Common, seriously though. Enough with this, why up, why down within such short periods. Look at the graph. Look at any freaking graph. Does it just go up in a straight line? People buy, people sell. Graphs zig-zag. Zoom out in the graph and look at the year view or even the month view. Is it going up? if so, great. If not, then you can ask why. But if you’re worried about it going down within a 48 period then investing is certainly not for you. Sell everything and save yourself the stress.

Sounds like you're talking to two different type of people. Those who are investring for the short-term and those that are investing for the long-term. I wrote a post about this recently (https://quickpenguin.net/bitcoin-investment-strategy). Whether you are investing for the short or long-term should change how your perceive down and uptrends in price....

If you take a long-term perspective (e.g., months or years), then bitcoin is doing GREAT. But this depends on your personal objectives, which are important to define ASAP.

Short term? for ether and bitcoin? Honestly I don't think it's very profitable to be investing in these big currency in the short term. Normally short term investments shouldn't be more than 2k since short term investments usually carry high risk. But let's assume you drop 10k on Bitcoin. That's 2.29 coins at the current price of $4352. How long you want to keep it in? 3 months? Ok let's say Bitcoin will go up an ambitious %15 within that period. That's about $1300 return. I don't know about you but I am not putting that much money down to get $450 a months (and that's about the best case scenario giving the volatility). You could drop 10k on a different currency and get a waaaay bigger return in that period of time. Bitcoin and Ether are for long term only if you are a sane investor.
