Good evening everyone, this is Unity writing to you from IDC Inc again with a review on PIVX, hope you all find it helpful and useful.
PIVX has been on a steady downtrend over the last several months, since January when it was at its peak of $10+ USD. Currently today it is at approximately $4 USD. Current market cap is $219,644,469 USD which is 26,589 BTC at the time of writing. With a circulating supply of 56,766,860 PIVX, currently without a Max supply because the PoS end phase is indefinite.
PIVX is available on multiple exchanges including Bittrex, Binance, Wall of Coins, and several other smaller exchanges throughout the market.
PIVX has held a higher percentage of profitability consistently in comparison to other digital currencies which utilize masternodes, such as DASH, since it's launch and even now.
In the social media we find that PIVX has implemented a feature freeze in their work on the wallet update, On March 29th they will be deactivating zPIV v1, on March 31st they will be releasing a new wallet, and then on April 7th releasing zPIV v2 and also zPoS.
Currently Zerocoin has been implemented by PIVX. This protocol does what Bitcoin can not, providing complete privacy to all users. Implementing Zerocoin within PIVX converts the PIV from being viewable to anonymous PIV instead. This is called Zerocoin PIV or zPIV for short. With this function, if a buyer wishes to spend zPIV (in the action of an a to b transaction) the zPIV will transfer as regular PIV without a tracking history, it can easily be reviewed here on the Technical paper.
As of August 17, 2016, PIVX is 100% PoS. Currently the PoS reward is 50 PIV. After the updates and launch of zPoS any user utilizing this system and are staking with zPIV will receive 50% higher block rewards you can view a video on YouTube here about this. It is believed and boasted about by the PIVX team to be another breaking point which the price of this coin will finally push new time highs (vs bitcoin), since it's been such a sleeper coin for so long.
Also featuring SwiftTX transactions, which will confirm and make coins dependable within seconds. Never having to wait for multiple confirmations to ensure confident and validity of the transaction.
The code base is PoS 3.0 Bitcoin Core 0.10.x, PIVX being a revolutionary coin because it is first coin to have a PoS Cryptocurrency that is based on the version 0.10 or higher Bitcoin codebase also, the PoS structure which is utilized, does away with the age of the coin. In order to still get the most out of your staking, but you have to keep your wallet open at all times. This also results in more nodes being available at a consistency which strengthens the network. Resolving an issue of users opening their wallet once or twice a month for a few moments here and there, still receiving the rewards equal to those having the wallet open 24/7.
Utilizing Sea-Saw Rewards balance system, it keeps the block rewards in a variance between both the staker and those winning masternodes due to held coins for masternodes. This allows for Variable rewards, which are based off the needs of the network and keeping network services (Masternodes) as well as the security of the network (Staking Wallet) to be evenly distributed throughout the system. As the masternodes decline in numbers, they incentivise more masternodes by allocating more of the block rewards to masternodes vs PoS. Conversely, they prevent too many coins being locked away in masternodes(which is necessary to maintain liquidity and provide more security via PoS), more of the rewards are allocated to the PoS system to decrease the profitability of masternodes, causing some of them to switch to PoS and automatically provide stability and profitability for all.
