Would you be beside yourself if your getting money through Paypal took 12 hrs? Or bank transfer, for that matter?

My advice would be to transfer smaller sums. And you could use Bittrex as well. But it's too early to lose hope of getting your money, anyway

I divorced polo after they wouldnt let me transfer steem and a lot of people have been warning to stay away
Agreed, bittrex goes through almost instantly. I started my crypto experience on polo and noped out of there very quickly. Bittrex has been great.
I lost over 80 sbd, I wrote an article a couple weeks ago polo was having problems, no communication from polo after I filled a ticket and over a dozen articles have been written about this so far.....blocktrade and bittrex are doing fine with sbd and steem.
I used it for six months and everything was ok:( But now I'm damn upset:(
I havent heard of anyone actually losing money there yet i m sure it will resolve

I gave Poloniex yesterday and I do not see it on their website and I sent them an email and I wrote posts about it and tagged their Steemit bot on this website too and I hear that others have problems too and I am still waiting like I said and I hope for the best or something because I tried to transfer $50 and I wanted to do it and it did not work and then I tried Bittrex and that worked much faster while Poloniex has not been working the past week for some people and that is sad.

I had two withdrawals of steem. One of 2 steem I was able to cancel, transfer to bittrex and then to Steemit.
The other withdrawal is 21 steem and it's been sitting in Poloniex 11 days; I created a ticket in their help link but it's still listed as processing.
Still waiting.

I assume your assets are locked in for transfers, but otherwise if you have something to trade with you should trade to another coin and transfer the funds of the exchange to another place where you can exchange them back again. I recommend looking at OpenLedger.
