I think places that will innovate will do so out of necessity. Countries that have little advantage in the current sector will be more likely to experiment with cryptocurrencies.
Look at the smaller countries to try new things and the bigger countries will likely "see what happens".
Large institutions like the EU and U.S.A. will likely take a conservative approach. The smaller countries or states may be a safe-haven for cryptos in the future, because that may be their only advantage. You already see this happening in Switzerland and Wyoming.
Of course, the EU and U.S.A. won't idly stand by, they will watch and observe until they have enough data to make regulation favor their institutions. They aren't doing that right now because they don't know how to best take advantage of crypto.
No doubt about that!! This gives smaller countries a chance to play big ball given the dynamic nature of the crypto space. By the time the EU and US realize this they will be playing catchup!!
I think so! It's about time that, with the help of technology, the little guys can get ahead! Very exciting times!
