I think the design of the blockchain prevents tracking of wallet addresses. There should be a way of tracing whos wallet the coins went to and possibly reverse the transaction before the bandits could cash them out. I don't know but I only keep small amounts at exchanges. I know for a fact that viruses can capture passwords and hackers may even wait months or years until your account grows and they have a substantial amount to steal. It's a good idea to change your passwords regularly.

Right. It's basic even for email accounts. Some email providers used to make passwords expire but I suppose many users got annoyed by that and the feature became unpopular.
