I like the comparison of steem to facebook in that the real contribution manifests as a behavioral change by those leveraging it. Steem tries to leverage how people naturally are inclined to act to build a valuable network. Facebook did the same thing but kept the monetary incentives centralized. Only downside to the analogy is the inevitable confusion with steemit and stopping at "They're both social networks!". Enjoyed the read, thanks!
