The world has been facing identification problems of refugees! It has been very hard to identify the exact number of refugees in the different camps because most of them do not have valid identification documents.
TYkn is a new project aimed at solving this identification problem and a lot has already been done towards this.
You might be wondering what TYkn is, I will state what the project is about, mission and vision below.
Tykn is a project started by Toufic Al Rjula who was a Syrian refugee in the Netherlands, he created this company after being put in a refugee camp and witnessing the hardships many refugees faced in verifying the authenticity of their documents.
The Vision/mission of Tykn is
to help NGOs and governments help people better by providing a digital identity platform that brings the resiliency we want to digital identities. Resiliency to fraud and resiliency permanent loss.
Tykn has already moved places and won numerous awards.
Tykn winning these innovation awards shows how great the project is and also shows the potential this project has in solving refugee identity crisis.

This year we went from proof of concept to real-world solutions and had the best blockchain cases in Government, Supply Chain, Fintech, Energy, Business, Identity, ICOs and more.
The ICO competition required the competitors to pitch their story to the panel at the conference.

This was another award that Tykn took home, it was sponsored by Partos and Accenture. The Spindle received 22 applications for this competition of which the jury chose only 10 best ideas to join the Spindle Summer Labs.
The competition was stiff as 3 were chosen out of the 10 and this was online-echoes(using user browsing data to connect for positive change), skin App (an app that supports healthcare workers to diagnose and treat skin diseases) and then Zinc by Tykn(create interoperable digital identities using Blockchain technology) which emerged the winner!
