2 - Republic Protocol, a company run by a 21-year-old, has raised $34 million worth of ether to build a cryptocurrency dark pool, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
It will allow big crypto investors to trade in the shadows.
3 - The cross-party group of MPs says it intends to examine the role of digital currencies in the UK, including opportunities and risks to consumers, businesses, and government. It will also look at the potential effects of distributed ledger technology – the technology behind cryptocurrencies that is more commonly known as blockchain – on financial institutions and infrastructures.
4 - The public consultations regarding a new regulatory frame for cryptocurrency companies in Italy are now finished. The Ministry of Economy and Finance invited the interested parties to share comments and suggestions on a draft decree, including reporting requirements and registration in the industry. The new regulation will come into force within three months of adoption.
5 - Samana Developers, a Dubai-based developer, is offering a discount to buyers of homes in its maiden project who want to make payments through cryptocurrency.
