Binance moves to Malta

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by traded value, Binance, is moving base to Malta.

The CEO of Binance, Zhao Changpeng, stated in an interview that they will be starting a 'fiat-to-crypto' exchange on the European Island of Malta and they are close to securing a deal with local banks that can provide access to deposits and withdrawals.

No timeframe for any partnerships with said banks has yet been announced, however Zhao stated “We are very confident we can announce a banking partnership there soon."
