Wikileaks is stating that their online merchandise shop of their not for profit organisation has been blocked from Coinbase. The Wikileaks shop tweeted on friday, 20 april, that their wallet on Coinbase and their exchange access have been blocked.

Below is the tweet by Wikileaks shop, they also included the hashtag #Reconnectjulian, which is signaling that Julian Assange's the founder of the organisation internet has been cut off from his current residence inside the ecuadorian embassy.

Wikileaks indicated that Coinbase’s actions were swift and sudden with no prior indication, and Coinbase also offered no explanation to their actions.

Wikileaks has directed people to their website to donate other forms of crypto directly including Litecoin, Zcash, Monero and Ethereum, they also have a message on their site that “additional cryptocurrency options will be announced.”

Wikileaks is not taking the actions from coinbase lightly, calling for a blockade of the exchange.

WikiLeaks will call for a global blockade of Coinbase next week as an unfit member of the crypto community. Coinbase, a large Californian Bitcoin processor, responding to a concealed influence, has blocked the entirely harmless @WikiLeaksShop in a decision approved by management. https://t.co/PAldF8b12P

Wikileaks which has reached its 12 year of operation and founded by Julian Assange depends on community donations to keep their services ongoing. It’s goal is to continue to publish censored data and expose truths.

That’s really interesting. Wonder why it’s only blocked bitcoin though and not the other alt coins as well?

Yeah, I am assuming its all access to coinbase.
