We all live in daily consumption. My breakfast in this morning included pork and three kinds of vegetables, and rice. I visited to the art museum by bus and drank water in PET bottles.
As a result of purchasing water, I consumed not only water but also PET.
consuming the time and effort of the farmers who farmed rice and vegetables and the livestock farmers who raised pigs.
I also consumed fossil fuels that run the bus and electricity to illuminate the museum.
Then, can I say that I have consumed because there is no change in the artwork before and after I see it?
When we think about how our consumption has come to us, we can see that many processes are going through. The value of the consumed items is based on the amount of money that familiar to us. This is the value of the process until the consumed item is made
Take McDonald's as an example. It have changed the eating habits of many people quickly and easily, McDonald's has grown into a leading global company. So, what did we consume on the back of the McDonald's Big Mac? Did McDonald's add value to the world as much as the market cap?
Water has existed before mankind. There are so many plants and animals, clean air and so on. We are using the values that the earth had in the past, unlike what we originally had. Everyone knows that the land in which the various plant species grew was replaced by a maize of good cultivation efficiency and that it cut down the wide rainforest that was the land of various animals and insects for the beef entering the Big Mac.
Still, the air is everywhere, clean water is gurgling when we turn on the faucet, and because the rainforests are still wide, the diverse plant and animal species are not valued properly because they are considered to be of little help to our lives. So the consumables that are produced by consuming them are cheap.
Because plastic is cheap, people use it conveniently. And I don't think that it really disappeared after not be seen in front of our eyes. Now there are garbage piled up all over the world.
Fine plastic pieces are found in fish's body. So how many plastics do we have in our bodies that are eating this? Will not the plastic that has been thrown away in front of us really come back to us? The problem now is that there is no alternative to plastic that is especially convenient.
What should we consider as an indicator of the value of a cryptocurrency as the NASDAQ index represents the approximate value of the stock market? In a new economy based on a cryptocurrency, deviating from the old economy, which was valued according to how much increase our life quality , I think it should be valued according to how much contribution you make to the world better.
A corporation that wants to consume the world to make the human life more enrichable will not be able to keep the business, and people will gradually disappear. I expect that cryptocurrency ecosystem to create a sustainable world.
