In this series, I will write about my forays into the cryptocurrency universe.
I aim to benefit new hands through my work. Old hands may find joy in this introductory material however.
I think of myself as a simple-ish soul currently living in Shanghai and watching life go by. I did not invest so much into cryptocurrency but a fair portion of my wealth. Bitcoin in particular fascinated me for a while but the majestic bull-run of November 2017 - January 2018 truly pulled me into its hold for good.
Since then some great, unseen force (money) has compelled me into the research of various cryptocurrencies, technical analysis and reading charts as well as the murky world of ICOs. Through the process I gained an appreciation of Adam Smith's 'Invisible Hand'. Learning that the hand favoured my cause, I also appeared richer in my wallet.
I dare say that I lost a small sum too but as a sworn trader, I keep a blood oath not to tell others :O
To the outsider, cryptocurrencies may seem astonishingly complex. It takes time to wrap ones head around the possibilities that the blockchain can bring. Despite this high barrier to entry, know that we could soon reach a new dawn in this particular evolutionary timeline. The various cryptocurrencies, cryptoutilities and cryptocommodites (the trifecta known as Cryptoassets) will play a key part in all of this.
This market also currently appears as a speculative one. It aptly looks like the wild West, where things are run not by any rules except for perseverance, speed and sharpshooting. If one could master these traits then the potential for profit increases immensely.
Note: I did not master them at all but I sometimes deliver in proficiency
