I just did something interesting this morning. I looked at tether's market cap, which essentially is the number of tethers, on a logarithmic scale. It is almost exactly flat. Meaning that the growth of tether is a roughly fixed number that has not deviated throughout the year.
The growth is approximately 15000% per year. This means that by the middle of next year, if the growth rate stays roughly the same, that instead of there being 2.3 billion tethers in existence, there will be roughly 1 trillion.
I would guess by this point it would be the largest single cryptocurrency by probably a long margin. Just 15 months folks!
