Hello Steemians, I'm new here, and I thought I'd make my first post about one of my first experiences with crypto. Back in May, I bought some Bitcoin, around $1000 worth. I had equally divided the money between 4 promising coins. Stratis, Steem, Ethereum and Digibyte. Basically I put in $250 in each coin. Towards the end of May, I saw digibyte grow rapidly, and towards the beginning of June it grew even more. I didn't want to miss out on my potential gains. So I sold the over cryptos and put everything into Digibyte. This was a huge mistake. Digibyte dropped big, but I still believed in it. I decided to forget about it, and check a few months later. Unfortunately, Digibyte had dropped from the 5 cents when I bought it, down to 1 cent. My $1000 had turned into $160. This discouraged me from ever touching crypto again, but recently ethereum has dropped big, so I decided to buy some. I bought when it was $160, and amazingly, it's above $200 now. And recently, I came across Steemit. It's really amazing platform, so I decided to try it out. Anyways, the moral of the story, is not to put all your eggs in one basket.
Good ideal to come back here. I guess since the Digibyte is only worth 160 now you might as well hold in case it recovers.
BORK!
Yea, no point in selling now. Might as well hold. Thanks for the advice!
Hi @kinectsahil Thank you for sharing your experience. I beleive many peoples who just get into crypto have this kind of experience. Your though is good forget about it and look at it again in 6 month it must be better than today. You take the crypto train just before one of its worth time but it is just matter of time. Anyway think crypto as a long term investment. Welcome into Steem community you will be happy here. Peace
Thanks for the warm welcome!
I wouldn't give up on it just yet. I've just brought 1000 digibyte coins as they're cheap at the moment. Do I bit of research into them and you'll see why they're one to watch at the moment. Digibyte is also up for awards in the Citi challenge.
Welcome
