Just yesterday, chatter about Russia creating their country's own cryptocurrency, CryptoRuble, sparked lots of debates about "why now after the ban" or even "why the ban if they're going to go back on their word".
Now word has gotten out that China is also thinking of creating their own national cryptocurrency as well, and is on the verge of being the first country to do so.
Are these inconsistent standpoints about cryptocurrency just to wall out competition? Who knows.
