A great primer in the early cryptos. This platform goes so far beyond these systems, however. I think this signals a change where it's not just monetary certificates, but any kind of agreement people can dream up. People get excited about the flexibility of platforms like ethereum, but Steem is an example of possible smart contracts you can run on Ethereum. It has been remarkably successful, and the devs @ned and @dantheman are not sitting on their laurels. Steem may not be exceptionally remarkable by standard metrics but it is leveraging human-to-human communication as a means to direct innovation. Within months it is going to leapfrog old school shit, I am quite sure of this. Thanks to the freeform nature of what you can log into the Steem blockchain.
