The UK housing bubble could burst as its been fueled by pure greed for decades, everything is vastly over valued and its starting to get to the point where there are so few starter homes its becoming simply unsustainable. If you have a ladder with the first few rungs missing its harder to climb, the ones already in the starter homes hoping to upgrade cant because demand is dropping simply because so many young folk cant get a deposit or mortgage. I’m 43 and never been in a position to buy so been forced to pay high rent for years but I’d rather sit it out for a crash than pay over inflated prices for some pantiles above my head! Mind you at my age I’m starting to prioritise my pension over the possibility of getting a mortgage as I’d never pay one off anyway. I’ve also reached a point in my life where you realise having a life is way more valuable than laying claim to a small piece of crown land :)
