Hello guys, I was experimenting mining sumokoin with some public cloud services like AWS and Google cloud service. I got my set up done for AWS and it was running from yesterday. AWS EC2 instance (yes free trial) gave me approximately 45 H/s for 24 hrs, so I was happy about getting free coin then I tried to get the same thing on google cloud because they provide $300 credit as free trial.
First of all I think there are so many guys trying to do the same thing so I coudln't create a vm with gpu because no more gpu is allocated to a vm because of its popularity. so I ended up with running 4 vms and each vm gave me about 40 H/s which is not that bad you know it is free coin.
Theoretically I could get up to 500 H/s (a decent GPU speed) a day out of about 12 vms which is ok. However I just got email from google team that they just suspended one of my vm because they detected I am doing mining with their free trial. I believe if you're paid customer you probably do not have this issue.
so please be aware of this if you are interested in mining coin with cloud services
Appreciate you tried these options.... How much $$ you earned this way ?
my vms were up for 5 hours and today my sumokoin pool was slower compared to the last night.
From 24 hours (AWS 1 EC2(24HR) + Google 4VMs (5HR)) I got 0.0155219100 SUMO.
it is about $10 per sumo koin now
I have been used Google Cloud with paid account. But, it is also illegal. They suspended my account.
They have magic rule that can suspend your account.
So please don't mining even if you are paid customer.
