As you may have heard the Dao which is an ethereum smart contract was hacked-and about 108 million dollars was taken . The funds were siphoned into the Dao child , a mirror image of the Dao application created by the hacker . Overnight Ethereum crashed and bitcoin charts dropped $100 also. The hacker claims that what he did was within the contract and the money is rightfully his. A hard fork has been proposed as a solution to the problem
