Cool man, just discovered this through a resteem, beautiful series, following!

Great to hear, glad you enjoy it and thank you!

I had a look at all of them, learned something but how can you forget Steem? :-) Locking in and delegating returns at least 20%, that's more than what i've seen in the posts. Also BitShares has an easy annual 5% through their bitUSD which is also 100% safe. Ok, we are all Dan Laringer fans here on Steemit, I admit :-)

Thank you! Oh I have not forgotten, don't worry! There is so much to Steemit and STEEM that I am going to be running a whole series on it over the course of 4-8 posts, depending on how long the posts are - I generally split it in two if it is more than 1,800 words of heavy content!

Although I do admit that I forgot about Bitshares - thank you for reminding me, I'll cover it as an individual post in the coming weeks :) Thanks again for the suggestions

Great series you are producing here. I especially like your post on STORJ since I'm actively participating in that one. In fact I just got a raspberry pi set up and working last night as a STORJ node.

I'm currently trying to set up Interstellar Holdings wallet on my pi. Maybe a bit more than i can handle though since the linux download was not the correct format i have to work it from the source code says a friend.

Thank you for dropping by with some feedback! Thank you, and good to hear it, I love using Raspberry Pis I usually have a few running different programs when Im at home.

Thanks for your post on envion. I did participate (on a v small scale) in the ico. Like you I'm a little sceptical as to whether they can actually pull this off but I like the idea of green mining so wanted to support it.

My scepticism was further increased when the CEO posted a video of himself flying to China to "buy mining equipment" post the ico (I suspect the prices will double on top of the already over inflated prices when they see him coming with 100m in his pocket...!)

We'll have to see how this one pans out.

I agree there! We'll see how it goes, but I think that was more of a OR stunt than anything. Thanks for the comment!

I invested in this and hope it does well. Do you know what they will be mining? I hope Ether. I want the Dether.io to do well too and may invest in this ICO.

hopefully! No I don't, I'm sure it's somewhere in their WP though. Sounds good!

that is, one must buy tokens and keep? long?

Yes from what I gather. For me it's a long term hold either way, I'm all for supporting clean energy.

understand. thanks bro

No problem!

I'd advise you do not post links to your posts in comments on other people's posts, I'll leave it this time but I like to keep my comments for questions and people's thoughts/advice!

thanks. i understood

Follow me

i like them, do i trust them to pull it off? we will see.

I agree there, it's speculative at the moment. That being said, I support them because I am very passionate about the environment and they are at the very minimum trying to make mining cryptos green!

hmm. that's why they are doing well, they pull on our collective heartstrings about something we can't do without -- planet earth. the boxes look great, they have them working, the cellular aerial thing looks a bit iffy, dashboards and mockups look great, the returns so good -- but as i was always told if something looks too good chances are it rarely is. i mean the idea is solid, but you still have to PULL IT OFF en masse.

but don't mind me, i'm just kinda against ICO's that are not gonna drop a product for five years but want money today. lol. you get me? :)

Haha I know it's almost a catch 22! What gets me is how open they are.. But usually I try and stay away from ICOs that have a long timeline projection, but what got me with Envion is that even without cryptos, they'll be running cheap energy to house through the blockchain!

I completely get you though, and it's generally a safe approach to take! Thanks for your comment :)

Exactly..

I missed the first week, I’ll go back to check. This sounds like a good idea, hope it All goes as planned

Thank you very much, hopefully!

I invested a small amount. This is my first ICO. I hope that it will reach success.
Thanks for your analysis.

Ridiculous. Anyone offering you 61% APY is taking you in for a ride.

The idea itself doesn't even make sense. We know where the cheap electricity is. That doesn't change from month to month. While you stuff a shipping container full of ASICs and send it traveling through the world, Jihan runs his warehouses on subsidized government electricity.

They can plan for 5 years all they want, they'll be out of business by 2020.

We don't know where surplus electricity is because it changes with weather conditions for renewable sources.

I wouldn't be so quick to assume, but fair enough if that's your point of view!

I wanted to participate in there ICO but after I had a talk with a good friend I didn't. They are from my city (Berlin) and I like the idea of them but I don't think it will play out so well as they say. Time will tell :)

Interesting! To be honest I'm not sure how well it will play out either; as i mentioned in my post, if something sounds too good to be true, it is! But I do hope that they do well as it is a great idea, if it works! :)

I don't know I wish them success since they are from my home town but the idea of putting 90 ASIC miners in a container and claiming with 25% reinvestment budget they can compete with large industrial mining farms, in a time difficulty goes up while new miners come every few months, and promising 160% profit in the first year, is RIDICULOUS. They clearly don't understand how the mining industry works. Bitmain D3 and L3+ miners for example barely make profit.

I do agree with you there, but that will not be their only revenue stream - they will also be looking at giving electricity to houses too, which is a huge market if you can undercut competitors and eliminate middle men through the blockchain.

Also, if you read in to how much energy is actually left surplus by certain renewable energy factories it is enormous. Although I am still unsure if Envion will succeed, I think that they will do well, depending on what they mine and how difficult it becomes.

Yup I agree let's see time will tell.

Awesome post!!
