I just logged into my Luno wallet to change the little BTC there into naira for my mom when I discovered something interesting. Turns out Luno is supporting Bitcoin Cash. That was an unexpected surprise, if disappointing (I had very small bitcoin so the BCH was also small)

What came next was of course, how do I cash out my tiny BCH? Luno provided no option to directly convert it into Bitcoin or naira in my wallet. They did not even have an option to even see my BCH wallet address! I decided to take the risk anyway and, after brief research, found that Shapeshift.io supports it.

HOW TO CASH OUT YOUR BCH FROM LUNO.COM

I copied my Luno BTC address
Went to Shapeshift.io page and requested BCH to Bitcoin
Pasted my Luno BTC address as instructed
Copied the Shapeshift.io BCH address
4b) Ignored the part where they request my BCH return address (because Luno did not GIVE ME ONE)
Went back to Luno page and sent my BCH to Shapeshift BCH address (after clicking "confirm that this is a valid BCH destination address" )
Went back to Shapeshift.io to track the progress
Waited ...
... and waited ...
... and waited some more ...
Confirmations complete!
Transaction Rejected!

And that's how my little experiment with cashing out BCH ended. I am guessing dat the amount was too small for Shapeshift to complete a Bitcoin transaction with (BTC fees) and then, with no BCH return address, my roughly $3 of BCH is lost forever in the crevice and shadow of blockchain boohoohoo:(

Hahahaha -- my lost experiment is your gain. Now you know how to cash out your BCH with Luno so those of you who had a lot of Bitcoin with Luno before the fork, remember me in naira now that you are rich ooooooooo :D

... hmmm. I just realize why the price of Bitcoin is doing so well right now. People are selling their BCH and buying BTC!**
