The customs office of Serbia reported today they seized a "machine for generating Bitcoin" from a 38 years old Serbian national, an unemployed butcher.

Entering from Hungary, the man in charge drove his large Renault Espace van to a track for travelers claiming nothing to declare at customs. Besides him, on board was one more passenger and two pet dogs. All of these had valid documentation. They started the journey in Germany. Along with the Bitcoin mining rig, the police also found "marijuana growing equipment". Interestingly, no laws in Serbia prohibit usage of Bitcoin mining rigs, nor even the marijuana growing equipment, so the reason for seizure might be the estimated value of these items.
The customs did not disclose if anyone was arrested or put on probation. Interestingly though, in that depressed country, the authorities never investigate why is there so much unemployed people, who need to mine cryptocurrencies or grow marijuana in order to survive.
Interesting post!
Maybe there are so many unemployed people because we didn't have enough factories to sell! :D
