Hi fellow Steemers! As you all know, 2017 was an important year for ICO(Initial Coin Offering). Initially launched by the Ethereum network in 2014, the fundraising method has become one of the most important agenda items of 2017, even-though it has been used very little at the beginning of the year. But in the end, ICO's networks provided $ 3.5 billion in cash in this year alone.
An unregulated means by which funds are raised for a new cryptocurrency venture. An Initial Coin Offering (ICO) is used by startups to bypass the rigorous and regulated capital-raising process required by venture capitalists or banks. In an ICO campaign, a percentage of the cryptocurrency is sold to early backers of the project in exchange for legal tender or other cryptocurrencies, but usually for Bitcoin.

Tho i still think Mineable coin > ICO/Tokens because they are supported by their own blockchain. I have seen hybrids (ICO & Mineable) coming up and i think that is more stable than the token approach.

I would also add to this list the TokenGo project, which will deal with the issue of coins for other projects that will conduct their own ICO.
